About Me

Mrs. Lori Swortzel: I have been teaching in Rockingham County for 16 years! I have a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and a Masters degree in Educational Administration. I am licensed to teach Pre-K through 12 as well as being certified in Supervison and Administration Pre-K -12. I also coach the 8th grade boys' basketball team and am an avid sports fan. I play volleyball and softball as well as being a fierce competitor in fantasy football. I have been happily married for 19 years and have 3 amazing children. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "What lies behind you and before you are small matters compared to what lies within you." I feel it is my job as an educator to help students find the potential for greatness that lies in each one of them.
